ORION – Joint Research and Development Centre

The ORION is a nonprofit institute based in Nicosia. Its members originated from academia, energy agencies, municipalities, governmental departments, research centers, SMEs and individual scientists sensitive to environmental issues. The main objectives of ORION include: 1) promotion of research activities in the Mediterranean and else where, 2) development of environmental forecasting phenomena 3) protection of natural resources and management of environmental risks (eg water pollution) 4) the development of integrated databases, 5) promotion of scientific excellence.
