The MONGOOS network consists of three working groups responsible for promoting activities in specific areas, namely the Observation, Modeling, and Application Working Groups. The infrastructures that make up the observation are key elements for coastal observation systems with direct implications for monitoring large (regional) areas. This fully integrated cross-platform monitoring system has been recognized as critical to the development of a sustainable blue economy in the Mediterranean.
